The firm’s Vietnam-based litigation team comprises 15 lawyers including seven partners, while the Singapore office is staffed by eight lawyers, four of whom are partners that regularly engage in international arbitration matters at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). The firm has continued strength on strength over the last 12 months, with activity increasing substantially across its three core disputes areas of commercial litigation, international arbitration and white-collar crime.
Partners Nghia Truong Trong and Dzung Luu Tien are key disputes contacts in Vietnam, while international arbitration specialists K Minh Dang, K Nguyen Do and Thang Pham are based in the firm’s Singapore office. Dang is the only Vietnamese member of the SIAC Court of Arbitration and the KCAB International Arbitration Committee.
A highlight of the team was its defence of Kim Oanh Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Development JSC, Tan Phu Company and an individual major shareholder in a criminal trial and earlier criminal investigations. The case involved the disposition of prime public land in the Binh Duong province.
