Adam Adler is a trial and appellate attorney specializing in constitutional law, intellectual property, and creators’ rights. With a background as a computer scientist and author, he excels at explaining complex legal concepts in a persuasive, engaging, and accessible manner.

He has represented clients in disputes involving emerging technologies such as cryptocurrency, digital security, deepfake applications, and machine learning. Notably, in April 2024, Adam helped secure a $673 million patent infringement victory for Kove IO against Amazon Web Services. He led Kove’s damages strategy, handled expert testimony, and cross-examined Amazon’s CEO Andy Jassy, CTO, and lead engineers, demonstrating over $1 billion in profits derived from Kove patents.

In October 2024, Adam achieved a landmark victory when he persuaded the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to cancel Marvel and DC Comics’ jointly-owned SUPER HERO trademarks. Representing independent creator S.J. Richold, he exposed the industry giants' use of a generic mark to suppress competition. Adam’s work on this matter was featured in national news, including on Law.com, the World Trademark Review, and Law360, as well as in mainstream media outlets like Reuters, The Verge, and Gizmodo.

Adam also maintains a strong copyright practice. In 2023, he successfully repealed Blackbeard’s Law on behalf of videographer Rick Allen, protecting Allen’s work from being misused by North Carolina authorities. He has advised clients on infringement avoidance and negotiated with industry groups like the RIAA and NAVA.

Because of his impactful work, Adam has earned numerous accolades, including the David A. Pierce Award from the National Society of Entertainment and Arts Lawyers (NSEAL) and recognition as a Law360 IP Rising Star in 2025. He has also been named to Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under list and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch. Additionally, Adam was part of the team honored as a Law360 “Legal Lion of the Week.”

A prolific writer and thought leader, Adam has authored over 100 articles for Escapist Magazine and serves on Lawline’s faculty. He also lectures at George Washington University Law School and the Antonin Scalia School of Law.
