Alexandre Kingston is a founding Partner of Schmidt, Lourenço, Kingston Advogados Associados, a prestigious Brazilian law firm. He has an extensive practice on strategic administrative procedures, judicial litigation and arbitration in disputes involving Real Estate, Urbanism, Environmental and Regulatory matters, with more than 20 (twenty) years of experience. 


Kingston works very closely with his clients, providing business-oriented guidance and prompt support. He defines valuable litigation strategy and counsel on a full spectrum of his key practice areas, including licensing process, environmental assessment, regulatory discussions, and real state matters (land use, leasing, joint ventures, purchase & sales and financing). His wide and acknowledged experience with focus on urban law allows multidisciplinary analysis under the public and private perspectives while advising his clients.


Over the years, Kingston has represented several relevant companies on complex litigations and negotiations, such as financing investors, developers, constructors, prestigious shopping malls, energy companies and associations. As a highlight, he represents ABRAGET (a Brazilian Association of Thermoelectric Generators) in a dispute with the Federal Union and ANEEL (Brazilian federal agency) related to the GSF (Generation Scaling Factor), involving an amount of 3 (three) billion Reais. 


Kingston holds an LL.B from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and a postgraduate degree in Environment from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He is a member of Rio de Janeiro Bar Association (OAB/RJ).
