Ms. Bo YANG was qualified as a lawyer of the People’s Republic of China in 2005. She has since then been engaged in foreign-related law practice in a leading law firm in the country, and joined Jingtian & Gongcheng as a partner in early 2020.

Ms. Yang has rich experience in practice of international trade. She has assisted a number of domestic and foreign enterprises to deal with a number of international trade-related litigation and arbitration cases, especially specializing in commodity trade disputes. She is also good at trade related export control, economic sanctions and trade compliance, and provides compliance review services related to international trade for many enterprises. She was awarded by The Legal 500 as “Recommended Lawyer in WTO/ International Trade” in Mainland China in 2023.

Ms. Yang also has professional knowledge and years of experience in maritime industry, and has for years represented P&I clubs, shipowners and shipping enterprises to deal with various types of maritime, air transport, international logistics, maritime and marine insurance disputes. She also has extensive experience in ship buying and selling, construction, special vessel finance leasing, offshore platform construction, terminal and coastal facility construction/transaction. She was ranked in “Greater China Region 2023: Shipping: Southern China (PRC Firms)” by Chambers and Partners.
Ms. Yang is good at dealing with foreign commercial disputes, especially international arbitration cases. She has handled a large number of international arbitration cases in Hong Kong, Singapore and London, including FOSFA and GAFTA industrial arbitration cases in London. She has been continuously recommended by The Legal 500 and Benchmark Litigation in the field of international arbitration.

Ms. Yang has also been honored by the Ministry of Justice of the PRC as one of “Nation’s Top 1000 International Business Lawyers” and honored by National Bar Association, Guangdong Bar Association and Guangzhou Bar Association as “Leading International Business Lawyer”.
