Craig is a Partner at BD&P. His broad-ranging practice includes commercial, energy, and construction litigation, as well as employer side occupational health and safety and worker’s compensation matters. His clients are based mainly in Alberta, but he has acted for parties whose issues touch on the United States, the Middle East, Europe, South East Asia and South America.

Craig has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta. He has extensive experience representing parties involved in commercial disputes, indemnity and transfer fee claims, tort claims, real property issues, commercial lease disputes, product liability issues, and breach of contract claims. He is equally adept acting in defensive or offensive roles.

His practice also involves providing advice on a variety of energy related disputes, including contractual, joint venture, accounting, royalty, operating agreement, and lease interpretation disputes. Craig is experienced with a variety of construction matters, including builders’ lien claims, Safety Code violations, and disputes involving lump-sum contracts.

With respect to occupational health and safety and workers’ compensation issues, Craig advises those industries at risk of accidents in the workplace, including responding to and reporting the circumstances surrounding accidents and fatalities. He has extensive experience defending against prosecutions brought pursuant to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including incidents involving service and drilling rigs, battery sites, pump jacks, explosions, and falls from height. Craig also advises clients on other quasi-criminal matters including charges under the Safety Code and environmental protection statutes.
