Cindy Clarke is one of BLG’s most senior leaders and sits on the National Management Committee. Widely recognized for her knowledge, experience and commitment to her clients, Cindy’s practice focuses on medical malpractice and product liability in respect of health products. She handles complex malpractice cases on behalf of hospitals and health organizations and has an active class actions practice particularly in regard to defending claims related to the health effects of certain products. Cindy is a co-author of the Law for Canadian Health Care Administrators; the 3rd edition of which was released in January 2021. Cindy acts as a liaison and relationship manager for major clients at the firm. As Toronto Regional Managing Partner, Cindy oversees the achievement of the Toronto office’s strategic goals and objectives which include enhancing our engagement with and support of the Greater Hamilton and Toronto Area (GHTA) business community and our broader community. She acts as both a trusted advisor to the client and a relationship driver for the firm. She will often liaise with the client’s general counsel and assembling the appropriate representation within the firm to handle their needs. Cindy has been repeatedly recognized by her colleagues as being outstanding in her field by ranking bodies including Chambers Canada, Benchmark Litigation, Lexpert, Best Lawyers and many more.
