D. Brandon Trice is an accomplished partner at leading litigation firm, Kaplan Martin, who regularly represents organizations and individuals in resolving high-profile, high-stake claims in both commercial and public interest matters.
Brandon’s commercial practice spans a broad array of subject matters—from contract, structured finance, and securities law to intellectual property, cryptocurrency, employment, and product liability law. Among other matters, Brandon has prosecuted claims on behalf of financial guaranty insurers of residential mortgage-backed securities trusts, defended large companies against unfair competition claims, represented boards facing shareholder derivative actions, and defended fintech companies with respect to cryptocurrency practices.

Brandon is also currently helping to defend the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority in challenges to its congestion pricing rules by the Trump Administration.   He has served as a key member of E. Jean Carroll’s counsel teams in her two successful lawsuits against Donald Trump for sexual assault and defamation and continues to represent her through the appellate process. Brandon also represents a major non-profit in challenges by X Corp. to its publications on the proliferation of misinformation and hate speech on the social media platform X and Columbia University in connection with Title VI litigation and other disputes. He has also litigated claims on behalf of victims of sexual and physical assault, and he recently helped secure a historic settlement agreement to nullify the most discriminatory and dangerous aspects of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law.

Brandon has been recognized as a Rising Star by the New York Law Journal and as a Best LGBTQ+ Lawyer Under 40 by the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association and Foundation.
