In April 2022, David joined the Joseph Saveri Law Firm to represent ordinary people in innovative antitrust and consumer protection work, which aligns with his values and long-term career goals. He was elevated to partnership in January 2024. He is a litigator at heart with an unwavering commitment to achieving justice for his clients.

David has been influential in DeMartini v. Microsoft Corporation (N.D. Cal.), representing video game players seeking to block and divest from Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Inc., their significant competitor in the video game development, publishing, and distribution markets. He has been substantially involved in case development and strategy, including briefing and arguing before the Northern District of California against Microsoft’s motion to dismiss and on plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary injunction. In 2024, a settlement was reached; details are to be determined.

Also, in Jones v. Varsity Brands (W.D. Tenn.), the firm represents a class of competitive cheer families who allege defendants abused Varsity’s market power to raise, fix, and stabilize the prices charged and associated with competitive cheer. David was instrumental through his written advocacy as well as developing legal strategies. He helped lead the briefing on class certification, summary judgement, and Daubert motions. In December 2024, the Court granted final approval to an $82.5 million settlement.

David was previously an associate at a large corporate law firm where he received significant litigation experience and invaluable mentorship in a broad-based practice. He successfully assisted in litigating a wide range of complex disputes in state and federal courts and in arbitration.

In 2023, David obtained a clemency award for a Vietnam veteran who was court-martialed and given a Bad Conduct Discharge in 1967 for possessing a small amount of marijuana. This pro bono success, covered by the California Daily Journal, was an extremely important result for his client. He is currently representing pro bono Sonoma State University student athlete plaintiffs whose status at SSU have been gravely impacted by SSU President Emily Cutrer’s decision to eliminate 22 academic degree programs—including six entire departments—and all NCAA Division II athletics It seeks a ruling that Cutrer’s decision is unlawful and void and an injunction preventing any further implementation of the unlawful decision.

David has been honored by Best Lawyers as “One to Watch,” by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star,” and by Lawdragon for its “500 X – The Next Generation” guide. He has served on the leadership development committee for the Association of Business Trial Lawyers and as a Young Lawyer Representative of the Competition Torts Committee of the American Bar Association Antitrust Law Section. He is a member of the ABA and the Bar Association of San Francisco.

As a law student at George Washington University Law School, David graduated with highest honors and was an executive editor of The George Washington Law Review. He participated in mock trial competitions, winning the school’s top “Estrella” Mock Trial Competition and earning the Best Advocate award. He is a member of the American Constitution Society and a founding member and former president of the American Constitution Society At-Large Lawyer Chapter.
