Frederico Favacho is graduated from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (FAUSP) and holds a master’s degree in philosophy of Law from the same Law School. Expert in Securities Law – University of São Paulo (USP), MBA in agribusiness management – Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), LLM in Transnational Commercial Practice organized by the Center for International Law Study (CILS), based in Salzburg – Austria – together with Lazarski University from Warsaw, Eötvös Loránd University from Budapest and Boston University. LLM in Maritime Law – Maritime Law Academy – Brazil, Mr. Favacho has more than 30 years of practice and a long-built reputation in the laws of international trading of commodities. Mr. Favacho has been attending the main Brazilian associations of the agribusiness sector for more than 20 years and is himself member of the Grain And Feed Trade Association – GAFTA, and the Federation Of Seed and Fat Associations – FOSFA, both with headquarters in London.
In his career, Mr Favacho has also acted as corporate lawyer, having worked for one of the two biggest private banks in Brazil and been a legal manager in a well-known multinational trading company in Brazil.
Mr. Favacho is also an arbitrator, Fellow at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – CIArb, member of the Comitê Brasileiro de Arbitragem – CBAr and a listed arbitrator in many Brazilian arbitration chambers.
