Partner in Commercial Litigation Group of BLG’s Montréal office. Has expertise in class actions, complex and high-profile litigation matters, as well as civil and commercial litigation (including injunction proceedings). He also practices in professional liability (civil and disciplinary) and defamation. François has represented provincial judges before the Supreme Court of Canada, to defend the validity of their jurisdiction. He has also been involved in commissions of inquiry (Chamberland, Gomery, Oliphant) and has significant experience in administrative and constitutional litigation (public law), including dealing with judicial ethics. He regularly pleads before both the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal of Québec.
