Franz Hoffet is a partner of Homburger's Competition | Regulatory team. He has extensive experience in all areas of Swiss and European competition law, ranging from merger control to administrative and civil antitrust litigation.
He has represented a wide range of companies and trade associations in proceedings before the Swiss competition authorities, the European Commission and in civil courts and arbitration proceedings. He also advises clients on compliance matters of Swiss and European competition law. Other areas of practice include regulated markets (in particular energy, health and pharma, media and telecommunications, infrastructure and transport), international trade and public procurement. Franz Hoffet is also a member of Homburger's Corporate | M&A practice team as well as its White Collar | Investigations working group.
Franz Hoffet is chairman of the Swiss Bar Association's Committee on Competition Law as well as a board member of the German Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht. He has published numerous articles on antitrust matters and is a co-editor and co-author of one of the leading treatises on Swiss Competition Law.
Franz Hoffet lectures on European Competition Law at the University of St. Gallen.
