  • Represented Carlyle in its acquisition of a majority interest in Roop Automotives, involving complex, inter-connected steps. Despite high market shares and the CCI’s narrow definition of relevant markets, Gauri secured a Form I approval within just 33 days under the new regime.
  • Represented Viyash Life Sciences Private Limited in relation to the amalgamation of Viyash and its group entities with and into Sequent Scientific Limited, a transaction valued at ~INR 8,500 crore. The merger aimed to create a unique and differentiated platform with a leading market position in animal healthcare and integrated capabilities for global pharmaceutical clients, supported by a strong operational backbone.
  • Successfully secured unconditional CCI approval for Petronas in its USD 1.6 billion investment in a project developed by AM Green, one of the largest investments in the green energy sector in India. This marked the first time the CCI examined the green hydrogen and green ammonia market.
  • Successfully secured unconditional CCI approval for Blackstone in various acquisitions, including the acquisition of the climate and technologies business of Emerson Electric Co., a USD 14 billion transaction and the largest private equity deal in this sector. The transaction involved two rounds of investments, both cleared under the Green Channel route.
  • Represented Japanese shipping liner companies, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd. and Nissan Motor Car Carrier Co., in leniency proceedings before the CCI relating to the transport of passenger cars and successfully secured the maximum permissible reductions in penalties.
