Karey Brooks, KC is a partner at JFK Law LLP, and an original member of the firm since 2009. She specializes in litigation, focusing on Aboriginal, constitutional, and administrative law. She has represented clients at all levels of court across BC, Alberta, and Ontario. Karey is deeply committed to advocating for her clients in court, recognizing that litigation is often a last resort. Her practice is particularly centered on complex Indigenous rights litigation, including cases involving Aboriginal rights and title, treaty enforcement, and governance matters such as:

She has been named one of The Best Lawyers in Canada in Aboriginal Law since 2017 and received accolades such as the UBC Law School Outstanding Young Alumnus Award in 2016 and was listed as one of Canada’s legal Rising Stars by Lexpert in 2015. In 2021, she was appointed King’s Counsel and, in 2022, elected as a Fellow into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
