Miriam Manber is a litigator and trial lawyer with a diverse client base, spanning from individuals and small businesses to public agencies and multinational corporations. She litigates in a wide range of forums, including administrative proceedings, arbitrations, and state and federal courts. Miriam has successfully defended employment discrimination, whistleblower, and civil rights class action suits, and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes commercial contract disputes.

Over the course of Miriam’s career, she has obtained, among other wins, a multimillion-dollar jury verdict on behalf of a foreign credit card issuer and acquirer pursuing breach of contract and conversion claims against a major credit card scheme; a bench trial verdict on behalf of a public agency, defeating a Federal Employers Liability Act claim; an arbitration award in favor of small business owner unlawfully ousted by former co-owners; a precedent-setting appellate ruling on a Federal Railway Safety Act whistleblower claim; summary judgment and appellate wins in disputes over public construction contracts; and numerous pre-trial dismissals of employment discrimination claims against employers in a wide range of industries. She was recently a part of HNRK’s winning trial team in a dispute over millions of dollars of insurance coverage. Miriam also counsels clients on litigation avoidance, and is a go-to advisor for transactional attorneys seeking a litigator’s perspective on their clients’ businesses.

In addition to being named to Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under List, Miriam has been recognized as a Woman Worth Watching (Profiles in Diversity Journal) and a Rising Star in Litigation (New York Super Lawyers).

Miriam recently sat on the board of the New York City Bar Chorus. Prior to joining HNRK, she completed a two-year clerkship in the Staff Attorney’s Office of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
