Myriam Brixi is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group and devotes a significant part of her practice to the defense of class actions. Her experience covers a wide range of class actions, including multi-jurisdictional proceedings, which has allowed her to develop solid knowledge of the procedural and strategic aspects of class actions in Canada.

In the course of her work, Ms. Brixi has successfully obtained the dismissal of several class actions, both at the authorization stage and on the merits, and has effectively negotiated numerous settlements in cases involving various sectors, including product liability, consumer law, price-fixing allegations, and environmental issues.

In addition to her class action practice, Ms. Brixi handles civil and commercial litigation cases, including extraordinary remedies. She also practices insurance law, advising insurers and insured parties on civil and professional liability matters, particularly in the construction industry.

Throughout her career, Ms. Brixi has received several professional distinctions. She was named Quebec Litigator of the Year in the emerging talent category at the Benchmark Litigation Canada Awards and is listed among the top 100 female litigators in Canada according to the same directory. She is recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada in the areas of class actions and product liability. The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory also recommends her in these same areas, and she has been designated a Leading Lawyer in litigation by Lexpert.

Ms. Brixi is also actively engaged in her community. She is the President of the Quebec Class Action Section of the Canadian Bar Association, sits on the organizing committee of the Quebec Bar's National Conference on Class Actions, and on the Class Action Committee of the International Association of Defense Counsel. Ms. Brixi has contributed to the analysis of reform projects with governmental bodies, published various articles, and regularly participates as a speaker on subjects related to her expertise.

Previously, Ms. Brixi was a member of the Access to Justice Committee of the Quebec Bar and co-chair of the Citizenship and Charters Committee of the Quebec Division of the Canadian Bar Association. She has also served on the boards of directors of Factry and the Quebec Special Olympics Summer Games Society.
