William has more than two decades of legal practice experience advising many MNCs, private equity and buy-out funds for corporate advisory work and transactions (including M & A and joint venture) across a wide variety of industries, in particular in the TMT, energy and infrastructure industries. He constantly represents clients on construction, investment and financing in plants, energy and infrastructure projects, including the development, financing and sale of the first foreign-invested utility scale solar power generation project in China.

His dispute resolution practice (including arbitration and litigation) has drawn on years of experiences in corporate transactions and construction projects with an emphasis on shareholder’s dispute, disputes in connection with M & A, joint venture, corporate governance, energy projects and construction. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and empaneled with a number of arbitration institutions (including Shanghai Arbitration Commission etc.). He has frequently been engaged to render expert reports on PRC laws in courts, arbitration and regulatory proceedings in other jurisdictions (e.g., the High Court of Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Arbitration Center and Ontario Securities Commission etc.).

William also advise in respect of regulatory and compliance matters, including data protection/privacy, commercial fraud, anti-corruption and bribery investigations etc.
