William King Wai Leung

Mr. Leung is an experienced solicitor advocate in Hong Kong and an arbitrator. He has been appointed as an arbitrator in cases involving the use of the arbitration rules of various international arbitral institutions including HKIAC, LMAA, ICC and SIAC. He is also an advocate acting in cases involving the use of the aforesaid arbitration rules. He holds practising qualifications in various jurisdictions, including Hong Kong, England and Wales, United Kingdom and British Virgin Islands. He is also an insolvency practitioner in Hong Kong with over 20 years of experience in company liquidation.

• Advising a Hong Kong company in making an application of evidence preservation to the PRC Court via HKIAC. The value concerned is over CNY 200 million.
• Advising the liquidators of a company in liquidation to commence a claim against the former directors and/ or shareholders to recover the company’s assets. The case concerned 26 Lots of land in Hong Kong.
• Advising a Russian corporate in suing for an outstanding balance under an agreement. The value concerned is over HK$ 80 million.
• Advising a charterer on a mareva injunction commenced by the owner against the charterer. The value concerned is over US$ 1 million.
