A global team of lawyers from Kirkland & Ellis advised BC Partners on its investment in Advanced, one of the largest software and services companies in the UK. The IP lawyers in the team are partner Emma L Flett and associate Joanna Thomson, both of whom are based in London and specialise in transactions work.
Advanced CEO Gordon Wilson said the investment, which is undisclosed, “is an exciting development” for his company. “We see significant, long-term potential to build on what Advanced has accomplished over the past four years…,” says Philipp Schwalber, lead deal Partner at BC Partners.
Kirkland & Ellis also advised BC Partners on its $2.1 billion acquisition of IT solutions provider Presidio Inc.
