The dissolution of this Richmond-headquartered law firm was reported today by various online media outlets (e.g. here), although at the time of writing today we did not find a press release about this on the firm’s website. It is unclear when the dissolution process will be completed. The firm has more than 15 offices in the US.
This unfortunate news, which didn’t surprise some legal observers, comes after a large group of IP practitioners left in February 2019 to join Pepper Hamilton’s new Rochester, New York, office.
At the time of writing today, the firm had more than 10 IP practitioners, including members William D Janicki, Thomas M Wolf and Robin L Teskin (an IP star), listed on its website. We’ll be on the lookout for updates concerning its IP practitioners. In the meantime, we have decided to remove the firm from our rankings table in Virginia (the firm was ranked in the 2019 edition of IP STARS as a 'Recommended firm').
