Dispute resolution

K&L Gates’ Taipei office lawyers are involved in significant civil and criminal litigation in the energy and information technology sectors. Notably, they represented China Petrochemical Development Corporation (CPDC) in a landmark toxic tort suit, where over 300 plaintiffs claimed health issues due to dioxin exposure. This case marked the first time the Taiwan court accepted epidemiology analysis for causation in toxic tort claims.

Shilin Huang, who handled a wide range of litigation and arbitration for domestic and international clients with interests in China and Taiwan, has left K&L Gates to join Rajah & Tann’s Singapore office.
