Stratage Law Partners came on to the scene in the summer of 2020. It has a growing commercial disputes practice that aligns with its transactional strengths. The lead partner for disputes, Bhavin Gada, is also a VC and funds specialist, so he is adept at drafting, reviewing and strategising for shareholder, commercial and regulatory disputes. The team has experience on investor-promoter disputes, specific performance of investor rights, corporate governance and actions taken by regulators and tribunals including SEBI, RBI, ED and other similar enforcement agencies.
The key figures for disputes are managing partner Darshan Upadhyay, senior partner Bhavin Gada and disputes specialist Ameya Deosthale.
In marquee highlight, the team represented Kamat Hotel India before the Bombay High Court in a challenge against a direction issued by the Enforcement Directorate for freezing the client’s bank accounts.
