The case also addressed the scope of the arbitration agreement clause in the joint venture contract and the arbitrability of the disputed issues, which are particularly common in Sino-foreign joint venture disputes. Therefore, this case serves as a landmark example in Chinese Sino-foreign joint venture arbitration, offering valuable insights for Chinese enterprises and foreign investors setting up joint ventures.
