Shannon Broome leads the environmental practice group of Hunton Andrews Kurth from the firm’s San Francisco and Washington DC offices. As an authority on global climate change matters, she is often tapped to handle enforcement, environmental incident responses, permits, and regulatory advocacy and defense. Broome has recently been engaged in climate change related environmental litigation on behalf of one of the leading oil and gas distributors. The mass tort litigation involves lawsuits filed across the US.  

A leading media and entertainment specialist, Sandra Crawshaw-Sparks of Proskauer is a go-to lawyer for the music business. Her diverse practice covers a wide range of issues from publishing and contracts to intellectual property rights and privacy. Her bi-coastal residence in the New York and Los Angeles offices allow her to attend to clients in two major markets for media and entertainment. Crawshaw-Sparks' long record in the industry has included high-profile names in the music business as well as leading multinational corporations.  

Jessica Grant recently joined Shook Hardy & Bacon in their San Francisco office, bringing over a long-running career of trial work in a number of areas, but with a particular emphasis on complex class actions in the areas of product liability and employment. She has previously handled cases PFAS related lawsuits on behalf of chemical manufacturers, and actions involving copyright infringement, fraud, and tortious interference.  

White-collar and securities star Melinda Haag has been a key component in the launch of Paul Weiss's West Coast presence, opening the firm's San Francisco office after joining in January 2021. Haag comes with unwavering peer support and "hardcore white-collar credentials"; she had previously done a five-year stint as the US Attorney for the Northern District of California, where she won acclaim for her impressive track record of prosecuting fraud and corruption claims.

Blank Rome’s Los Angeles office features Linda Kornfeld who is one of the leading and widely respected insurance practitioners in the nation Her practice, developed over years of a successful career in representing corporate policyholders, involves high-stakes and business-critical cases, and she has the fortitude to take them to trial when necessary. In a recent case, Kornfeld represents the Philadelphia Eagles in its lawsuit against FM Insurance. The related to the business interruption policy in connection with the COVID-19 losses due to their inability to use the stadium during the 2020 season. Kornfeld successfully prevailed in oral argument against FM’s motion to dismiss and has been lead in briefing the case as it relates to other appellate decisions. Kornfeld is also preparing and conducting oral arguments before appellate courts, most recently before the Ninth Circuit.
 
Nicole Lavallee operates from the San Francisco office of plaintiff shop Berman Tabacco, where she also serves as the managing partner. Lavallee focuses primarily on securities, an area in which she has excelled at substantial recoveries for investor clients.

Alison Libeu operates from the Los Angeles office of recently bi-coastal litigation boutique Hueston Hennigan and has swiftly etched herself a position as being an invaluable member of the team. "She's just a killer trial lawyer," sums up one peer. "She tried the Monster Energy case, in which she landed a verdict of almost $300 million." 

Sonal Mehta in WilmerHale's Silicon Valley office is one of the firm's youngest intellectual property trial stars. A peer in the patent space testifies, "Sonal is very strong and she's going to be very effective in the tech patent space for some time to come, and on some very high-value cases."
