Managing Partner Jeff Ireland is one of the founding partners of Faruki PLL, and is a frequent mediator and arbitrator. His practice focuses on competitive issues (e.g., trade secrets, antitrust, false advertising, etc.) as well as class actions and employment. Jeff was recognized as an America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators by America’s Top 100 LLC for 2020. Jeff was also listed in the 2020 edition of Benchmark Litigation as a “state litigation stars.”
Jeff has been recognized each year since its inception by his peers in the Ohio Super Lawyer pool as an Ohio Super Lawyer, rated as one of the top 10 attorneys in Cincinnati, and one of the top 50 in the state. He was selected for the 2021 edition of Best Lawyers in America®, and named “Lawyer of the Year” for the seventh time in his career. He is listed in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. He has written articles for publication, and is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education programs on various subjects relating to commercial litigation. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Antitrust Section of the Ohio State Bar Association.
Jeff is on the Board of Advisors at the University of Dayton School of Law and was previously awarded The University of Dayton School of Law’s Distinguished Alumni Award for his service to the community and the profession. He is a member of the University of Dayton School of Law Advisory Council. He is also a member of the American, Ohio, Dayton and Cincinnati Bar Associations. He is a past President of the Dayton Bar Association. Jeff is a native of Dayton, and resides in Oakwood, where he was Mayor from 1984-1994.
He was selected as a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers and the Litigation Counsel of America. He has held leadership positions in a wide variety of local organizations including the Mayors and Managers Association, The Salvation Army, the Affordable Housing Fund, the Montgomery County Community Action Agency, Planned Parenthood of the Greater Miami Valley and currently as the Board Chair of the Levitt Pavilion Dayton. He and his wife received a Lifetime Achievement award from the YWCA in 2005.
