Intellectual property
Jenna belongs to the rare breed of patent litigators that has both courtroom skills and deep scientific knowledge of the technology at the heart of most patent disputes. She represents companies that have developed and own patents to some of the most advanced technologies currently in existence, including single cell sequencing companies and aerial imagery companies, in patent litigation. Over the past year, Jenna has litigated several matters and was promoted to partner. She navigated the close of fact discovery in a matter before the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah against an aerial imaging company. She also closed expert discovery in a matter before the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware for a genetic sequencing company. She litigated a Hatch-Waxman case for a company that developed a product for an orphan drug indication.
While at Cornell University, majoring in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (when only 25% of engineering majors were women), Jenna was president of the Society of Women Engineers and was named Undergraduate Student of the Year by the Diversity Programs Administration. While in law school, Jenna served as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. She has clerked for the Honorable Robert W. Schroeder III in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, served as a Judicial Fellow for the District of Delaware, and interned at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Jenna also has developed a national presence as a role model for women patent lawyers. She leads committees for the Federal Circuit Bar Association and the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and has been instrumental in leading the FCBA’s first-ever Mock Pitch Program, pairing younger lawyers to pitch to senior in-house counsel. In recognition of her contributions, Jenna was appointed vice-chair of the FCBA Patent Litigation Committee. Jenna also serves on the Associate Advisory Council, a junior board for the NYIPLA, and was recently appointed co-chair of the Membership Committee. Jenna regularly speaks at CLE programs on issues such as Section 112 in ANDA and BPCIA cases, the Federal Circuit Rules of Practice, the Patent Trademark and Appeal Board, and diversity.
She has been named a 2024 LMG Life Sciences US Rising Star for Intellectual Property, included in Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under List, and received the Volunteer of The Year award from NYIPLA for her contributions. In addition, she received the 2023 Rising Star award from the New York Law Journal, was listed among the Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation in both 2023 and 2024, and the 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America.
