Called to the Québec Bar in 1996, Patrice is a partner of BLG’s Construction and Infrastructure Group. Efficient and rigorous practitioner, Patrice is a construction litigation specialist acting in matters involving contractors, owners, architects and engineers. In the last 25 years, Patrice acquired extensive experience in complex litigation related to the construction and infrastructure industry. He is representing key clients, both in front of the courts and arbitration panels. He is also regularly involved in alternative dispute resolution, either through direct negotiations or with the assistance of mediators. In all matters, his focus is on finding the path to early and efficient dispute resolution. Patrice is also counselling and representing clients in all matters related to the construction industry such as call for tender issues, bonds, legal hypothecs and insurance. He also assists clients with drafting construction contracts (P3, Design Build, Cost plus, conventional and all other project delivery contracts) and supports their efforts to prevent and manage risks. Valued speaker, he is regularly invited to speak or preside major conferences delivered to the construction industry and in the context of continuing legal education programs. Patrice has also been involved in various boards of directors related to the construction industry and practice of construction law, notably with the afg (Association des firmes de génie du Québec), the Canadian Bar Association. Patrice takes pride in representing clients’ interests while maintaining constructive and respectful relationship with his adversaries, which led him to be selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Canada and Lexpert.
