Print editions

We published the relevant firm rankings and IP Stars list in their respective print editions; for example, the national trade mark rankings were published in the Trade Mark Handbook (Global edition), which went to press in April 2020. The US Handbook and Patent Handbook (Global edition) were published in July. The Rising Stars list, copyright rankings, IP transactions rankings, and the firm editorials are online-only publications.

What to expect next

Our research for the 2021 edition of IP STARS and MIP awards programme is underway: we have contacted thousands of individuals to obtain research information. Learn about the research here.

We will publish our 2021 rankings publication timeline in January 2021.

We have also started restructuring and updating our firm editorials (under the 'Review' tab). The main purpose of the editorials is to provide a simple snapshot of a firm’s IP practice, including some of its key practitioners and clients; the latest developments, in particular hires and departures; and useful testimonials, if available and appropriate. If you have urgent updates, please send them to us.
