Epstein Becker Green strengthens IP practice with two hires
Epstein Becker Green has added two IP practitioners, Hemant Gupta and Adelee Traylor, to the firm’s Health Care and Life Sciences practice. Gupta and Traylor were previously partners at Egan Nelson.


Tracey Truitt joins Sandberg Phoenix
IP attorney Tracey Truitt has joined Sandberg Phoenix’s Kansas City office as practice group leader. Prior to joining, Truitt was a partner at Armstrong Teasdale.


Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner expands IP practice with new hires
Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner has made a series of hires from Dentons to strengthen its global patent prosecution and transactional practice. The firm welcomed Song Jung as its new Global Chair of Patents, as well as partners Mark Kresloff, Bumrae Cho, Yong Choi, Tyler Goodwyn and Bruce Vance.


Crowell & Moring hires new IP team
Crowell & Moring has added a three-person IP team to its New York office to bolster its IP litigation capabilities. The team is led by IP litigator Paul Keller and includes counsel Michelle Wang and James Reed. Before joining, Keller served as head of the IP disputes group at Allen & Overy.

 

ASIA-PACIFIC 

Ellis IP joins Catalyst Intellectual Property
New Zealand IP firms Ellis IP and Catalyst Intellectual Property merged on June 1, 2023. Ellis IP was previously the trade mark practice of the IP firm Ellis Terry. The merger sees IP Star Emily Ellis and Rachael Koelmeyer join Catalyst Intellectual Property.

 

EUROPE

Powell Gilbert opens Dublin office
UK IP law firm Powell Gilbert opened a new office in Dublin this year. The new office is part of the firm’s strategy to get involved in UPC litigation, which will complement its leading patent litigation practice in the UK.

A new IP firm in Belgium

A team of four senior IP practitioners including the founders of DenK iP and the co-founder of Brantsandpatents Christoph Bourgeois joined forces in May 2023 to establish Winger. This new IP firm boasts more than 20 IP practitioners.

 

Haseltine Lake Kempner hires another partner
UK IP firm HLK hired Louise Perkin (née Handley) as a partner in its legal department. This news follows the arrival of Jamie Rowlands, who joined from Gowling WLG last month. Perkin was previously with the Leeds-based corporate law firm 3volution.
