Dominique Ménard is a founding partner and the managing partner of the firm. She is recognized by her peers for her solid advocacy skills and her ability to represent clients in all spheres of civil and commercial litigation. Dominique has particular expertise in appeals and judicial review, in class actions, seizures and injunctions, oppression remedies, shareholders’ dispute, estate law, and administrative investigations.
Her clients include Hydro-Québec (a public utility that generates, transmits and distributes electricity), Urgences Santé and Veolia. She also represents individuals in highly publicized cases, such as Cardinal Marc Ouellet, among others. Known for her ability to skillfully address the specifics of each case and to propose innovative and practical solutions, she insists on understanding the needs of her clients and the challenges they face.
Dominique is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has appeared before all Canadian courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and various administrative tribunals. She is regularly appointed by the courts to act as an independent supervising lawyer in the context of Anton Piller orders. Having been involved in several judicial reviews, injunctions and complex trials, she is experienced in acting as lead counsel, coordinating multidisciplinary teams of experts and lawyers in various jurisdictions and managing the collection of evidence related to such matters. She frequently assists clients in administrative investigations, in the review of their internal policies and procedures, and in addressing and responding to legislative reforms impacting their activities. She has also helped a number of clients implement request for proposal processes, as well as present proposals.
